The Chico Creek Nature Center, located on East 8th St. in the lower park, operates as the information and interpretive center for Bidwell Park and houses a non-releasable living animal museum. Chico Creek Nature Center Hours of Operation

The City of Chico Parks Division  manages Bidwell Park, and has information on road and trail closures, Park reservations, and information on volunteering in the Park.

The Friends of Bidwell Park  has a complete listing of operating facilities in the park and nearby, groups concerned with the park’s environment and wildlife, and recreational groups that use the park.

The Kiwanis Chico Community Observatory offers telescopes for public star gazing. Join them as they hop around to other neighboring galaxies millions of light years away. Located near Horseshoe Lake.

The Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve, just upstream from the Upper Park, is run by the Bidwell Environmental Institute at California State University, Chico.

The Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) provides recreational facilities for the greater Chico area. CARD facilities related to Bidwell Park include the Community Center at 545 Vallombrosa Ave., Sycamore Field at One Mile, and the Hooker Oak Recreation Area.

The Chico Equestrian Association runs the arena off Wildwood Ave. near the entrance to Upper Park.

Altacal Audubon promotes the awareness, appreciation, and protection of native birds and their habitats through education, research, and environmental activities. They conduct field trips in Bidwell Park and surrounding areas.

The Mount Lassen Chapter of the Native Plant Society is on a mission to conserve California native plants and their natural habitats; and increase understanding, appreciation, and horticultural use of native plants. Activities include field trips in Bidwell Park and beyond, invasive plant removal in the Park, and maintaining the Alice Hecker Native Plant Garden at the Nature Center.

The Sierra Club Yahi Group has interests in both the conservation and enjoyment of wilderness and the natural world. The Group organizes hiking and other outdoor activities in Bidwell Park and other areas.

The Mechoopda Maidu Indians Website has information on the original inhabitants of the Park.

The Bidwell Mansion State Historical Park is located on The Esplanade at the west end of Bidwell Park.

The Gateway Science Museum is located next to Bidwell Mansion.
